We had an incredible time bringing the Hackoustic Village to We Are Robots, a four day festival at Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, dedicated to those that are propelling the future and innovation of music.

Uniqlo Tate Late: October 2016

Hackoustic Festival 2016
The Hackoustic Festival 2016 was our first ever festival, and gave us chance to showcase some of the exciting musicians and artists associated with Hackoustic.

This is our regular monthly hacking session on the second Sunday of every month.
These sessions are an opportunity for you guys to bring your own projects along to the Hackspace and get some work done on them. There’ll be other hackers working on their own projects and everyone’s always keen to help each other out, trouble-shoot problems and give a bit of feedback.
We had an a fantastic and chaotic session this month with the amazing Blanca Regina and Matthias Kispert who ran one of their Material Studies workshops for us. They describe it as “the spontaneous explorations of the sound within matter” and that’s exactly what it turned out to be!
We had a great session this month, so much so that we’ve decided to make these sessions a permanent fixture every second Sunday of the month.

We had a fantastic session this month, with Charles Matthews, Tom Fox and Tasos Stamou showing their work or running workshops. There was our best crowd so far and it was great to see everyone joining in, having a great time and make plenty of racket on all the noise makers that were there. If you missed this one, you’ll definitely want to catch the next in January which will be just as much fun!
As part of the London Design Festival 2015, we were invited to present some of our projects at Limewharf cultural innovation hub. The event supported the Open Mile night run by the Maker Mile project.
