We’re excited to announce our next Hackoustic Presents of 2018 with an incredible lineup of performances, installations and presentations. We will have talks and performances from Amy Cutler with Sylvia Hallett, YOAF and Rita Evans, along with installations from Giacomo Lepri and Vulpestruments.

Hackoustic Presents – 23rd June 2018

Come along to a night of hacked sound – experimental performances, instruments and installations featuring some of the most exciting makers, musicians and artists in London. We’re really excited about our lineup this month – we have another incredibly diverse array of artists performing and talking about their work, as well as some wonderful installations. The prolific and exciting Tim Murray-Browne will be talking about his installation work. We’ll have performances from Mother Disorder who creates brooding electronica using contact mics attached to her body and Laurel Smith-Pardue who will be performing with her augmented violin as well as Stephen Shiell and Hannah White playing their beautiful hand-made acoustic instruments.

Hackoustic Presents: 6th October 2017

An evening of performances, talks, demonstrations, installations and mingling with some of London’s top sound artists, builders, hackers and educators. We are very excited to have Kuljit Bhamra, one of the most inspiring and influential musicians, composers and record producers on the British Asian music scene. He’ll be demonstrating his very exciting ‘Evolution of the Tabla Drum’. We’ll also have Dom Aversano playing hacked tunes on his amazing hang-drum and Jacob Harrison, currently studying for a PhD in accessible instrument design, showing his one-handed bass guitar.

Hackoustic Presents: 5th August 2017

An evening of performances, talks, demonstrations, installations and mingling with some of London’s top sound artists, builders, hackers and educators. 
This time we’ve got John Kelly and Gawain Hewitt with the Kellycaster, Jenn Kirby with repurposed controllers, Antosh Wojcik from the sound art duo Post Everything, along with installations by Nick Murray and Jen Haugan.
